MA Fashion Design Management develops essential skills in areas such as project management, sustainable design strategies, supply chain development and innovation management. A critical understanding of the global impact of fashion design provides the necessary skills and knowledge needed to enter a career in fashion design management.

The Textiles and Fashion area focuses on the subjects of design, textile technology, and textile management and examines the definitions, methods, and models related to the development and application of textiles and fashion in research, industry, and society at large.
The first PhD By Design conference was organised by current and former PhD students in the Department of Design at Goldsmiths, University of London in November 2014. This was followed up with a one-day satellite sessions at Leeds College of Art in May 2015, which focused more specifically on issues raised at the first event.
Currently, we have over 25 PhD and MPhil students enrolled on full and part-time study modes, and working on a broad spectrum of topics, including Colour, Light and Interaction; Advanced Materials; Eco-Textiles; Fashion and Design Interpretation; and Textiles Archive. Students can research any project that fits into our research themes.
